Fixed Term Contract

We're currently seeking a Procurement Manager based in Leamington Spa to work within a state of the art, high output diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UK's NHS Test and Trace programme, helping society's return to a more normal way of life.

What you can expect:

  • The role will ensure Commercial Supply agreements are in place, securing continuous and timely supply of products to the Lab

  • Ensuring Supply Contracts are managed to time and budget

  • Coordinate all Lab supply requirements and translate these into executable Supply agreements

  • Act as senior interface with the DHSC Commercial Teams

  • Comply with and Manage the Commercial authorisation process between the site and DHSC

  • Ensure contract cover is in place to avoid periods of non-cover

  • Liaise with Suppliers and Key Stakeholders to ensure clarity of purpose, objectives and service delivery

  • Manage and Develop the Procurement team

  • Review and consistently improve Supplier performance

What we're looking for:

This position will require an experienced Procurement Manager who will ensure commercial agreements for on-going supply are in place to ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply of products and services to the Laboratory

  • Strong Team Management experience

  • Expert knowledge of procurement processes and supply agreements

  • In depth experience and knowledge in a Procurement role

  • Experience of working with public sector procurement

  • Member of a professional body - i.e. CIPS

  • Degree in a relevant subject

  • Experience of working in large Laboratories or Pharma

  • Experience of Scientific products and service

  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and consumables

In return:

You will receive a minimum 18-month contract with opportunity to go permanent and competitive rate of pay and a 10% retention payment (paid at 9 and 18 months). Additional benefits include Company Sick Pay, Covid Sick Pay and Overtime Pay.

Working hours and shift times

Mon - Fri 9 - 5.30
