We're currently seeking a PA To HR Director based in and around Leamington Spa to work within a state of the art, high output diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UK's NHS Test and Trace programme, helping society's return to a more normal way of life.

Gain invaluable experience and exposure to some of the country's most highly skilled individuals in the scientific community and join a supportive environment where training and accreditation (where relevant) will be provided for this role.

What you can expect:

  • Manage diary/schedule for the HR Lead, and for the wider team as necessary

  • Form and maintain record-keeping systems and trackers and chasing up actions as appropriate

  • Set up and maintain the HR database

  • Set up and maintain secure team filing systems

  • Prepare meeting agendas, collate and prepare meeting materials and take/circulate minutes and action logs

  • Provide project management support to identified HR initiatives/events/projects

  • Support the development, preparation and updating where necessary of HR policies, processes, documents and HR intranet content

  • Support the preparation of HR metrics and reporting dashboards

  • Be the first point of contact for lab colleagues on any HR related queries and proactively develop a network of relationships across the lab

  • Arrange local induction programmes for HR and training team recruits

  • Assist with the provision of required people information for the Medacs (MSP) payroll runs, liaising with line managers and Medacs as required

  • Help with various arrangements internally, from processing expenses, event co-ordination

  • Assist with any other administrative tasks as and when they arise

What we're looking for:

  • Proven organisational skills

  • Proficient networker and proven experience as a 'diplomatic ambassador' for their manager

  • Proven ability to influence across all levels of an organisation

  • Used to working with confidential information

  • (Ideally) experience working in the public sector and basic understanding of UK employment law

  • Collaborative team player

Skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Sound interpersonal/communication skills

  • Proficient at Powerpoint, word, excel

  • Understanding of an HR information system

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively

  • Resilient and able to work under pressure

In return:

You will receive a minimum 18-month contract with opportunity to go permanent and competitive rate of pay and a 10% retention payment (paid at 9 and 18 months). Additional benefits include Company Sick Pay, Covid Sick Pay and Overtime Pay.

Working hours and shift times

The hours are Mon - Fri 9-5.30.
