Fixed Term Contract - Full Time

We're currently seeking experienced Warehouse Operatives to work as Laboratory Logistics Operatives to work within a high output diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UK's NHS Test and Trace programme in Bracknell, Berkshire.

You will Temp for 6 weeks before going onto a contract.

This opportunity for Laboratory Assistants requires individuals with the right mindset to support the smooth running of the laboratory.

Your responsibilities:

  • Receipting samples from transport services
  • Unloading and scanning boxes, checking against consignment info
  • Unpacking sealed COVID-19 testing sample bags
  • Driving vehicles to move samples, waste and consumables to and from lab (if have driving license)
  • Assisting in stock monitoring
  • Vehicle direction of on site traffic
  • Adhering to SOP's and H&S requirements of site

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Experience in warehouse/logistics desirable
  • Driving license desirable, not essential
  • May be required to support in sample reception if needed
  • Reliable and hard working candidates required
  • Can take direction, work within a team, but also work on own steam
  • Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks

In return:

Whilst Temping you will receive £10.20 per hour dayshift, £12.44 per hour nightshift.

When you go onto a contract after 6 weeks your basic salary will be £18,184 + 5% fringe + unsociable hours enhancements

You will receive a pay uplift of 43% for each shift on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8 pm and before 6 am. You will also receive an 85% uplift for any Sundays or Bank Holidays. This will take the salry to circa £25,000 per annum.

This role works on a shift pattern of 8am-8pm days and 8pm-8am nights.

Shift pattern is 2 blocks of days then 2 blocks of nights, each block is three days. 3days on 3 days off.

N= night, C= Core/day , O = off.

You'll receive comprehensive training on relevant lab procedures and equipment during induction.
