Onboarding Manager
Part of the UKs NHS Test and Trace programme; the Rosalind Franklin Laboratory is the UKs first state of the art diagnostics laboratory to provide mass-testing for COVID-19, new variants and mutations.
We are currently seeking an Onboarding Manager on a 18 month contract (this could be extended) to join our expanding team and deliver a robust and streamlined onboarding experience to our new starters. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills and gain invaluable experience in a unique environment, whilst playing a pivotal role in supporting public health and shaping the culture of a new business.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to our Senior Resourcing Manager; you will take ownership and accountability of managing the end to end onboarding lifecycle, ensuring the onboarding HR systems are fit for purpose and working in conjunction with our learning and development team.
Responsible for day to day running of the new starter onboarding process
Managing intake planning working in partnership with our employing agency
Accountable for all IT and security onboarding processes i.e security cards, laptops
Working closely with training to coordinate and facilitate training needs and assessments
Maintaining an ongoing awareness of supplier management and oversight of MI and compliance for candidates in partnership with the Recruitment Manager
Developing of best onboarding processes, practices and management information
Working with suppliers across all compliance needs, actions and MI
Working to ensure HR systems are accurate and fit for purpose
Coordinating and leading on projects within the onboarding teams as per the agreed timelines
Experience:
Our ideal candidate will have a background in managing an administration service/office, preferably specialising in recruitment/onboarding. You will have a good working knowledge of Human Resource practice; either through experience of managing team or in an advisory capacity. With the ability to hit the ground running and adapt to a reactive environment, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication and be able to work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders.
Essential:
Experience of managing an administration office/service
Knowledge of human resource practice
An understanding of the full end to end employee onboarding process
Proven track record working in a high volume/fast-paced environment
Knowledge of recruitment compliance and vetting practices
Proven experience in data reporting and analysis
Experience in working partnership with different departments and internal and external stakeholders
Have exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence others
Ability to prioritise work by taking the impact and scale of the work into consideration, as well as manage time effectively to meet deadlines
Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get your hands dirty
Sound IT skills including Excel
Strong team-working and customer-focus ethic

A competitive salary offering of £41,723 per annum, plus an inviting 10% retention payment (paid at 9 months and 18 months) and inclusion into a forward-thinking innovative and welcoming team. Additional benefits include Company Sick Pay, Covid Sick Pay and Overtime Pay.
The Rosalind Franklin Laboratory is a 24/7 operation and the Onboarding Manager will be required to work on-site ideally four out of 5 days a week. Our working days are Monday to Friday.
