NHS Test and Trace are looking Mobile Lab Technicians to work within a state-of-the-art, high output diagnostics laboratory environment. This Mobile Lab Technician role in Manchester comes with an hourly rate of £14. 87 and is offered on a fixed-term contract basis.
To give you an idea of how the Mobile Lab Technician role will look and feel, these are some of the things you would have been tackling this week if you were already in the post:
- Undertaking COVID-19 testing, with the ability to recognise incorrect results and correct errors
- Monitoring and performing maintenance of analysers and other laboratory equipment, ensuring that logs are completed
- Monitoring stock levels of various reagents
- Participating in training new biomedical assistants and practitioners, supervising less experienced staff and allocating work
To apply for the Mobile Lab Technician position, you'll need an appropriate Level 5 qualification or equivalent (e.g. a degree in Biomedical Science or BSc (Hons) or a relevant science subject). You will also require an IBMS Certificate of Achievement Level 2 (Higher). Candidates must have at least 12 months of UK hospital lab experience.
